Meghan Markle and Prince Harry moved their family from Southern California back to the UK at the end of August, and while Harry has kept up a fairly public schedule since, Meghan has taken a noticeably quieter approach to settling in. That has not stopped a short list of her early favorite spots in the Cotswolds from coming into focus.
A first stop before she had even unpacked
Within hours of landing at Birmingham Airport, Meghan made her way to Soho Farmhouse, the members only retreat known for drawing a steady stream of famous faces. Members there noted she was introduced around with considerable fanfare during an early morning coffee, a fitting first stop for someone about to spend a lot more time in the area.
A pub with famous regulars of its own
She was later seen at the Falkland Arms in Great Tew, sharing fish and chips with her longtime friend Kelly McKee Zajfen and Kelly's baby son. The centuries old pub already counts other well known faces among its regulars, including musician James Blunt and actor George Clooney, putting Meghan in familiar company even at a low key countryside stop.
Her first public sighting since the move
The most notable outing came at the Three Horseshoes in Asthall, near Burford, where Meghan was photographed with Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi. It marked the first time she had been seen out publicly since relocating, a milestone that came weeks after Harry had already made several appearances of his own. Between the members club, the pub, and the countryside catch up with old friends, the early picture of Meghan's Cotswolds life looks like exactly what she and Harry said they wanted: quieter, and closer to people who knew them before any of this.
