Maya Jama, the 31 year old Love Island presenter, bought a three bedroom cottage in the Cotswolds for 520,000 pounds in December through her company Penny Property Holdings. Rather than keep it as a private retreat, she has been renting it out to guests on both Airbnb and Booking.com.
The pricing reflects just how sought after the listing has become. Peak summer rates run to 490 pounds a night, with a September 3 to 5 stay coming in at 980 pounds total. Those rates now exceed what several five star London hotels charge, including the W Hotel, the Sheraton and the InterContinental.
Guests have responded with strong reviews across both platforms, holding a 4.97 out of 5 rating on Airbnb and a 9.8 out of 10 score on Booking.com. One visitor wrote, Had a great time away here, easy to walk into village and plenty of room in the cottage to chill out as a family. Another guest singled out a smaller detail, noting, The local produce basket was a lovely added touch.
The Cotswolds cottage joins a wider property portfolio for Jama, who also owns a home in Hampstead, London, bought in 2023, and previously shared a 4 million pound mansion in Cheshire with footballer ex Ruben Dias, which was burglarized in January with items worth thousands stolen. Despite the properties scattered across the country, Jama has been clear about where her roots stay planted. Bristol will always have my heart as I was raised there, she said, but since I was 16 it's been London.
