Kylie Kelce has fielded a lot of questions over the years about whether she and Jason plan to try for a boy after four daughters, and on a recent episode of Sunday Sports Club she finally gave a partial answer. There is no first name picked out and no fifth pregnancy to announce, but if a son ever does arrive, his middle name is already locked in.

Two dads, one name, one easy decision

Kylie explained that both her father and Jason's father are named Ed, which made Edward feel like an obvious choice if they ever have a son. She was careful to stress the placement, repeating more than once that it would be a middle name only, never a first name, in what came across as a running joke as much as a real plan.

The couple already has four daughters together, Wyatt, Elliotte, Bennett, and Finnley, names that have drawn their share of commentary over the years for sounding more traditionally masculine. Kylie has pushed back on that framing before, noting that a name like Wyatt works regardless of gender and that the family simply picked names they liked rather than following a formula.

No fifth child on the way, just an answer ready if one comes

Kylie was clear that this is not a pregnancy announcement or a sign that a fifth child is imminent. It came across more as her finally satisfying a question she gets asked constantly, that people are curious whether the Kelces will eventually have a son. For now, the answer is simple: no plans yet, but the paperwork on a middle name is basically done.
