During the live auction portion of This Is About Humanity's 8th annual soiree, Kardashian pledged 50,000 dollars to support the organization's work with families and children affected by separation at the U.S. Mexico border.
A personal reason to show up
Kardashian's attendance was tied to her longtime friendship with Zoe Winkler Reinis, one of the organization's co founders alongside Elsa Marie Collins and Yolanda Selene Walther Meade. This Is About Humanity was founded in 2018 to focus specifically on reunified and separated families at the border, funding legal services, mental health support, shelter projects, and food relief through partnerships with groups like the Immigrant Defenders Law Center.
Henry Winkler, who hosted the evening at his own home, called out Kardashian's donation from the stage directly, telling the roughly 400 guests in attendance that she was an angel in every way.
A night built around more than one big check
The soiree drew a wide mix of celebrity supporters, including Wilmer Valderrama, who received the evening's Humanitarian Award, along with Katharine McPhee Foster, Annie Gonzalez, and Constance Marie. Valderrama used part of his acceptance to stress how much community support matters for families dealing with separation, a theme that ran through most of the night's speeches.
