Harry Styles opened the U.S. leg of his Together, Together tour on August 26 with a run unlike anything Madison Square Garden has hosted before: 30 consecutive shows stretching through Halloween. The first night alone made clear this residency was going to be treated as its own event rather than just another tour stop, both in how the show was built and in one unplanned moment nobody in the arena will forget.
A stage built for the room
Rather than simply importing the stadium production from the European and South American legs of the tour, the MSG shows use a circular oval stage designed specifically to solve sightline issues that had cropped up at outdoor venues. Styles made full use of the space, working the perimeter during high energy songs and spending time at a small electronic setup during others. DJ producer Jamie xx opened the night, with Styles joining him for the closing song of his set.
The setlist itself was reshuffled for New York, pulling in songs that had not appeared on other dates. Carolina and Satellite both returned live for the first time since 2023, alongside cuts from Kiss All the Time. Disco, Occasionally, his most recent album, mixed in with older favorites from Harry's House, Fine Line, and his debut record.
